The goal of the School Counts! initiative is to help students achieve success in the classroom, work place, and the community by raising funds locally to invest in the education of the county’s youth. Students who meet the yearly criteria upon graduation from participating high schools are eligible to receive up to $1,500 per semester to attend UACCM, including a $250 tuition waiver for students enrolled in a career/technical program. For students who choose to attend UACCM but already receive over $1,500 in other scholarships and grants, School Counts! will award a $250 in textbook assistance. This initiative will have a positive influence on economic development, the quality of life, and the level of education to move Conway County forward.
MHRC is a non-profit organization incorporated to serve seniors age 60+ in Conway and Perry Counties. It was established in 1975 to promote positive interaction among all Senior citizens as well as other demographics. We are funded in part by Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas. We are supported by Federal, State, Local and Individual funds. Donations and memorials are gratefully accepted. The goal of the Morrilton Human Relations Council, Inc. is to make all of the Conway and Perry County citizens 60 plus aware of our services and get them involved in our activities and nutrition program. It is our goal to reach the individuals that are unable to leave their homes and help them by providing home delivered meals and giving a little human compassion and conversation.
