At ACTION Services, we are dedicated to assisting the individuals we serve as they achieve their dreams for the future.
We accomplish this by empowering each individual with the necessary knowledge and skills required to become successful citizens. Utilizing proactive skills training approaches in the realms of self-care, daily living, communication, interpersonal relationships, community inclusion, recreation/leisure, preparatory skills for the work environment, and work activity programs such as the Shredding & Recycling, individuals gain a healthy, positive self-concept.
A dedicated and exceptionally motivated family of service professionals works hand-in-hand to create a nurturing and energetic program environment that challenges each individual to meet and exceed their goals for independence and self-sufficiency.
As a division of the Conway County Center for Exceptional Children, ACTION Services plays a vital role in carrying out the mission of the Center.
ACTION is comprised of two distinct parts, the Life Skills area and the Workshop area. Each focuses on a specific purpose, however, the two areas work together to provide a comprehensive experience!

The American Red Cross in Arkansas serves just fewer than three million Arkansans plus more than 43,000 neighbors in Missouri.
1,200 trained and dedicated volunteers stand ready to instruct residents of all ages in disaster education and to respond to the call for help anytime of the day or night, holidays or weekends.
Red Cross in Arkansas covers seventy three counties (Little River County is served by the Northeast Texas Region; Crittenden County by the Mid-South Chapter, Memphis), as well as Sequoyah County in eastern Oklahoma.
The American Red Cross touches the life of an Arkansan every five minutes through response to a residential fire, storm or other disaster; with health & safety instruction and the donation of the gift of blood; or the use of learned First Aid skills to prevent harm or save a life; or the connection of a loved one here to their family member in the military stateside or on the other side of the world.
We respond to 1,500 disasters each year- the majority residential fires-and teach more than 40,000 people across Arkansas annually in health, safety and disaster preparedness skills.

The Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) provides low-income individuals with the higher education skills and credentials they need to gain immediate entry into targeted occupations--ultimately leading these individuals to economic self-sufficiency.
Career Pathways Initiative (CPI) serves current and former Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA) recipients, or TANF eligible students, currently or newly enrolled at one of the participating public two-year colleges in Arkansas or in a program administered by participating two-year colleges.
You must be an adult caretaker, parent, or relative of a child under the age of 21 living in the home.
Contact your local college CPI office for eligibility and assistance availability.
Enrollment is dependant on grant funds available at the campus.
If you do not meet CPI's qualifications but would still like to attend college, please contact your local two-year college's financial aid office to learn about other financial aid programs, scholarships and grants available.
