Services are to locate the absent parent(s), establish paternity where required, establish a court obligation for child support; collect and distribute the support, and to enforce support orders when necessary. Services are provided by the agency and through contracts with local governments.
The goal of the School Counts! initiative is to help students achieve success in the classroom, work place, and the community by raising funds locally to invest in the education of the county’s youth. Students who meet the yearly criteria upon graduation from participating high schools are eligible to receive up to $1,500 per semester to attend UACCM, including a $250 tuition waiver for students enrolled in a career/technical program. For students who choose to attend UACCM but already receive over $1,500 in other scholarships and grants, School Counts! will award a $250 in textbook assistance. This initiative will have a positive influence on economic development, the quality of life, and the level of education to move Conway County forward.
